"When I'm mosaic-journaling, I look for imperfect papers to bring interest to a piece. Putting these mosaics together is like solving a jigsaw puzzle.
I tear up photos and papers with no rhyme or reason.  I throw only the tiniest slivers away and save the rest to use another time. I save scraps of paper
with notes and all sorts of oddities to put in my art. It's magic that all these bits and pieces can tie it all together to make a cohesive statement."
